We take hats off to Sharyn, our chauffeur. She is skilful at negotiating the challenges of Burkina
roads in the city and on the highway.
Missionaries are definitely multi-gifted! Tuesday, October 30, we left Ouga.
We travelled about 6 hours west to Bobo Dioulasso.
Many places along the way there were traditional villages. The pictures were taken from a fast-moving vehicle.
We stopped in Boromo, a large town along the way to
have lunch. The café served us a great
meal under a low thatched roof.
Ken
managed to walk right into the corrugated metal that supported the thatch. He didn’t knock himself out, but he did get
a big cut and abrasion on his forehead.
As we arrived
in Bobo at 4:30 pm we were impressed with how green the city is.
Sharyn dropped us off at the Mennonite guesthouse, then she and her sister headed on, hoping to get to her village by dark – which is 6 pm. So there we were, on our own in an African francophone city, very thankful to have Jillian with us as our interpreter.
