What a night! Jillian slept well, from 10 to 3:45! Carolee and I, not so much! We slept enroute to Toronto, had a good Timmy's breakfast
and are reading and studying this day away. We meet Sharyn's sister, Marianne, this afternoon and
head off together to Paris at 6:50. We arrive in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso tomorrow at 4:15 pm.
Notice the beverages!
Just a reflection from my reading in Exodus this morning here in the airport. God provided manna for His people. Each day they were to gather just enough for that day. ("Give us this day our daily bread.") If anyone was greedy and took more than a day's portion the manna was filled with maggots and began to stink! On the sixth day they were to gather enough for the Sabbath. On that day the manna was fine! In fact the Lord instructed that a portion was to be kept as a "museum piece" for future generations to marvel at.
God was serious about the Sabbath! This was before the ten commandments were given. We desire to honour God on the Lord's day. To keep it holy. Not always sure what that entails.
