In 2005 Carolee was asked to join the board of directors of Wycliffe
Bible Translators in Canada. She travels to Calgary twice a year for
board meetings and takes various responsibilities in between.
For example, in 2011 she chaired a committee (by phone) to plan an Induction Celebration in Calgary for the incoming Wycliffe president, Roy Eyre.
Carolee says, "I am excited about missions and I have seen the need for the "next generation" to become passionate about missions. After becoming acquainted with NextGen Ministry in the Calgary Wycliffe office, I was inspired!" Almost 4 years ago we began to host Cafe Wycliffe for young adults. Once a month on a Saturday night we cook up a big ethnic meal. About 18 or 20 gather in our backyard or fill our house. Along with food and fellowship, we all love to hear the missionary stories and then surround the presenters with prayer. To see a sample of an email invitation

Missionaries of the evening will be Evan and Bonnie FALK. They have been attending Cafe Wycliffe for the past year and during this time they have applied to work with Wycliffe Bible Translators. They have recently completed orientation and have been accepted! Their goal is to be in the Philippines in September! Evan will be working in IT and Bonnie will join the finance team. Come and hear their story and their hopes and give them your prayer support as they begin their missionary journey.
